I'm a 30-year-old American who was previously living in Paris as a nanny and English tutor for two children from 2015-2018. Although I am originally from Oregon, and I obtained my Associates of Applied Sciences from Linn Benton Community College there, I am now living in Basel. I am currently working as a freelance musician, food guide, and online tutor for Chinese children online through Skype methods and various training programs.
Experience
I have more than 3 years of experience tutoring both French and Chinese children and adults in English writing and speaking skills. I currently work with First Future Solutions as a credited online English teacher, and I have extensive experience with in-person tutoring as well as online methods. I love to meet new people and gain new perspectives. In my experience, I have discovered that the easiest way to learn a new language is to find interesting topics to chat about, incorporate music and movies, find common interests, and, most importantly, have some fun.

Hobbies
When I'm not teaching, I compose music for film, lead a food tour and map business, eat as much new food as possible, travel to as many interesting places that I can, watch great films, and just enjoy the daily life! In the USA, I was a Dental Hygienist, and so I also have a definite interest for the medical field.
